Videoconferencing is changing the way Government is working. Bringing experts, decision makers and citizens face to face who are spread across geographically. National Informatics Centre is a poineer in providing videoconferencing services for Government organisations.

Maharashtra State Centre Mumbai is well equipped for providing videoconferencing services at International,National and at district level through NICNET. All the NIC Districts Centres in Maharashtra state are well connected with 2 mbps Leased circuit to National network, Mumbai is connected with 34 mbps link with Delhi.

Multipoint National level videoconferences are conducted in IP and satellite based mode through NICNET.

Satellite based DAMA network of NICNET is working as backup for the Leased circuit network between Maharashtra State Centre Mumbai and NIC HQ New Delhi. ISDN facility at NIC CM Secretariat office provides International videoconferencing.
