As part of National E-governance program and with a view to meet the
increasing requirements of National Level and State level Citizen oriented
Computerised services, NIC Maharashtra Centre has set up a Storage Area
Network & Secured Computer Communication Network. This Centre provides
computer and communication services to the departments of State Government
and Central Government on 24x7 basis. This network is connected to 35 NIC
District Centres in Maharashtra. NIC District Centres are providing
computer and communication services to the District Administration Offices. 1
